Saturday Croissants
Every Saturday morning, Chef Jean-Marc removes over 700 exquisite hand-rolled croissants from the oven. Made with 100% butter, these rich and flaky pastries are available starting at 9:00. Choose from butter croissants, pain au chocolate, almond croissants, and raisin rolls, but make sure you arrive early or call to reserve, as these delicious treats sell fast! Take a bag to go, or one or two.

Vision from Bill our Master Bread Maker, For me, bread-baking is a passion I have had for over a quarter century, and which has blossomed here at L’Auberge. It represents the blending of science with art. It involves taking seemingly inert ingredients, combining them, and creating something beautiful. It involves satisfying both body with its goodness and soul with its beauty. Each week I invoke the science when I build the dough and let it ferment, then add a little art when the loaves are shaped, scored, and baked. To be able to share my passion for bread with you is a humbling experience. Even more humbling is to have been invited to join the team at L’Auberge and make my contribution to it, as well as to your palate. It is a distinct honor to come to L’Auberge each week: something to which I look forward without fail; it is a personal compliment from you to us when you purchase and enjoy what comes from L’Auberge’s bread oven. Eater Chardonnay Bordelaise Couronne
Anything that is named “Bordelaise” means that it originates from the Bordeaux region in the Aquitaine, in SW France; and, a “Couronne” means a crown in French, which this bread emulates by being baked in a round with little rolls making up the crown shape. Some of them could weight up to 5kg. Containing flour made with chardonnay grapes as well as fresh grapes for added flavor and visual interest.

The Saint-Félicien, a creamy cheese made with cow's milk, take its name from its original cradle. Today renowned and marketed in all France, it is exclusively manufactured in a defined territory including Isère, Drôme and Savoie. A strong geographical link that is worthy of being recognized by a PGI (Protected Geographical Indication). Predominantly rural, the territory of Saint-Félicien is marked by huges grassland areas, a good part of which is destined for the feeding of animals.

Comté JuraFlore AOP Organic 200kg
Comté, from the Haut Jura, is a firm cheese with few small openings made from raw cow's milk harvested from the Montbéliarde breed of cows. Around 450L of milk is pressed into a large 40kg wheel, and then aged in general between 6 to 36 months. While it is contemporarily considered as a delicacy around the world, it was born out of necessity as the slow ageing large wheels would offer peasants sustenance during long and arduous winters. That in turn is why the tradition of Comté is so deeply engrained in the French culinary culture.

The Boissan estate is located at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux. One of the oldest vineyards in the region, established in the 17th century, Christian Bonfils is the fifth generation leading the estate. Grapes are hand harvested and undergo maceration for 8-10 days uncrushed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats common for Grenache. The wine is then aged in barriques for 8-12 months. The result is an elegant wine with concentration and complexity. Owners, Christian Bonfils and wife Cathy Bonfils come from families of generational wines makers in Burgundy. Together, they have established a reputation for their exceptional wines with tireless efforts in organic farming and sustainable practices in the vineyard. Taste: Deep purple in the glass with a bouquet of hazelnut, pepper and a hint of undergrowth. Notes of black berry, pepper and tobacco on the palate. A blend of Marsanne, Rousanne and Viognier from a combination of valley floor, foothills and mountain vineyards of varying soil types including pebbled terraces and sandy slopes. The average age of these vines are 25 years old farmed organically. Grapes are hand harvested, skins are left to macerate, spontaneous fermentation followed with clarification by cold settling. Barrel aging gives the wine complexity and structure. Taste: An aromatic wine with notes of pear, stone-fruit, honey and underlying minerality. Intense ripe peach and pear on the palate with creamy texture and a honeyed-citrus finish. Cellaring Potential: Enjoy within 3-5 years.
